Heritage Missions

The purpose of the "Heritage Community Bible Church (HCBC) Missions Committee" is to conduct the mission?s ministry of the Church. This work includes developing and managing the mission budget, informing and educating the congregation in the area of global missions, informing and encouraging individuals to consider career mission or short term mission opportunities, to correspond with missionaries we currently support and to review and recommend approval of missionaries to be supported through the missions budget.

We define "Missions" as ministries beyond the activities of the local church. These ministries may be cross-cultural and include evangelism, church planting, discipleship, support services and community development. HCBC currently supports 15 individuals or families who are serving in the field. Of the 15, eight individuals or families serve outside of the United States (overseas) and seven individuals or families serve in the continental United States. The Church supports four organizations, which include Covenant World Missions, Covenant World Relief, Gideons International and Arvada Resource for Ministry and Service (ARMS). The Church is providing some funds for the "New Day Covenant Church" which is a church plant in Boulder, Colorado. HCBC has provided land for "Hope House" which is a community ministry for teenage unwed mothers: whose purpose is to teach the young women to learn to care for their babies and to finish their education.
